Warehouse Packer
Our growing Lawrence, MA manufacturing company is in need of a Warehouse Packer. This position is a 1stshift contract to hire position, no experience required, will train!
Monday-Friday 7 am-3 pm
Pay rate: $14.50 an hour.
Responsibilities:
-Accurately identify, select and pick products and inventory for staging, packing, packaging, and loading.
-Assist in loading/unloading trucks/trailers using a manual hand truck or forklift. The physical labor involved in this activity varies.
-Manually move finished product from the Production department, then stage and/or package in an efficient manner to maintain production flow requirements.
-Compare and inspect physical items pulled to the requirements of the pick ticket/order
-wraps/wrap orders as required by item/delivery type and prepares for shipment when necessary.
-Ensures that orders are staged correctly for shipping personnel.
-May assist in placing incoming items in inventory
-Participate in conducting warehouse inventory counts as required.
-Inspect product produced for defects and workmanship
-Segregates good product and recycle
-Package and label products accordingly
-Supports and maintains overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe.
-Ability to operate a strapping tool, tape gun, and stretch-wrap machine
-Forklift certification (in house training available).
-Ability to work independently and as part of a group
-High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.), or equivalent experience
-Manufacturing environment: Temperature will vary
-Coating factory environment: nuisance odors
-Standing: Frequent, long periods, Walking: Frequent
-Be able to lift 50 lbs.
