Tool Designer "work remotely"
Well managed automotive manufacturing company looking for a Tool Design Engineer.

This company is located in Newburyport, MA and will consider candidates who can work on site or remotely
50 hrs a week with Flexible hours for start and leave depending on what the candidates prefer.
Work closely with Customers, Sales, Tool & Die Makers, Press Operators and Quality personnel.
Develop and produce progressive and secondary Stamping Die Design.
Must have experience working with Progressive Die and Design.
Work with Sales to quote future job opportunities (strip layouts, calculating material usage).
Assist in first article samples inspection, make corrections and request changes.
Ensure tools produce parts meeting customer requirements.
Work towards extending run times of tools wherever possible and analyzing premature tool failure.

Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical Design experience
Tool Maker & Machine Shop background a plus.
Experience using Solid Works solid modeling software required
Knowledge of Logopress blank design software is a Plus.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
A good understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, assembly, test).
