Medical Biller Summary: Join the team at our Merrimack Valley client assisting with their medical billing on a temporary basis and daily entry of appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes into patient accounts.

Medical Biller Responsibilities:

·         Takes patients telephone calls and answers questions regarding bills.

·         Runs outstanding claims reports and works unpaid claims monthly.

·         Answers questions posed by other employees regarding coding of visits.

·         Keeps track of unassigned payments and credit balances.

·         Makes financial arrangement for outstanding balances.

·         Covers front desk reception when needed.

-         This position will run for six months.

·         Previous experience in medical billing required. One year of medical insurance background preferred.

·         Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.  Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.

Medical Biller Skills:  

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Three years of medical billing experience required

·         Knowledge of EPIC EMR software preferred

·         This is 100% on site, no remote or hybrid role
