Job Description :

Our Hudson, NH manufacturing client has an immediate need for a Senior Procurement Specialist.

This person is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by managing the flow of materials into and through the facility. This includes monitoring inventory levels, ensuring raw materials are purchased and outside service providers are scheduled as needed, backlog issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner and suppliers are performing at the highest level possible in terms of delivery times and quality.

This is a direct hire position. Annual salary range is $90,000-$100,000

Monday – Thursday 8:00am-5:30, Friday 8-4:30 (every other Friday off)


Senior Procurement Specialist Responsibilities:

·Ensure raw materials are ordered and in stock and outside service providers are scheduled to meet requirements while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.

·Coordinate the efficient flow of materials through interfacing effectively with internal customers (Operations group, including engineering, quality and production.

·Prepare and maintain material requirement plans using established planning resources through an awareness of developing trends and the ability to analyze and react accordingly.

·Develop strong partnerships with subcontractors/suppliers, ensuring their delivery of high-quality parts and services at an acceptable price and delivery time through scheduled performance reviews, supplier visits, etc.

·Participate in Production/Operations meetings to determine areas of improvement in materials and supplier performance, working with Quality to determine corrective actions when necessary

·Participate in Engineering Contract Review, Sales Quote and AS9100 Review meetings as necessary

·Support Quality Management System through the maintenance/development of documentation for Materials Department, including the maintenance of Approved Supplier List (AVL) and the active participation in Supplier performance (i.e., corrective action compliance, supplier audits)

Required Qualifications :

·BS/BA preferred in Business or related field

·MRP experience required

·Experience in Defense/Government and Medical industries preferred

·APICS Certification preferred

·Experience with manufacturing suppliers (for both raw materials and outside services) a plus, including sourcing and vendor selection

·Strong negotiation, customer service and interpersonal skills

·Ability to read engineering drawings

·Familiar with DFARS, ISO, RoHS, ITAR and NADCAP procedures
