Job Description :
Our electro/mechanical device manufacturing client located north of Boston is hiring a Sr Demand Management Planner who will execute and maintain the site Master Production schedule and forecast inventory levels to meet customer demands.  The Senior Demand Management Planner is responsible for managing Excess & Obsolete (E&O) analysis, building strategic inventory reporting, and providing recommendations for inventory management and E&O reduction.

 Responsibilities:


·Utilize ERP to manage sales order dates and production schedule alignment to ensure material is available to meet customer shipment dates.


·Communicate potential risks to customer shipment schedule with recommendations for resolution.


·Identify and resolve conflicts with material availability, capacity availability and order promise data integrity to include excellent follow up and communication skills.


·Maintain master data, including planning parameters and safety stock, to ensure integrity of data and optimize supply planning performance.


·Conduct “what if” forecasting analysis as needed in support of sales and operations.


·Lead the demand review process to develop sales volume forecasts for use in the supply chain and financial planning spaces (item, week, & location level details).


·Improve forecast accuracy by optimizing the use of statistical forecasting tools. This will include validating inputs to the forecast and developing planning BOMs.


·Support business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, new product launches, last time buy needs, phase-outs and distribution redesigns.


·Utilize ERP system to assess inventory against future demand to provide long range inventory forecast, evaluate risk, make recommendations, and lead resulting actions.


·Analyze and track risk buy and last time buy materials and communicate impact on inventory levels and the production plan.


·Drive improvement in inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs to optimize inventory position and minimize E&O inventories; review and maintain planning parameters in accordance. 


Required Qualifications :

·Bachelor’s degree (in business, supply chain or related field) or equivalent experience required.


·Minimum 5 years of experience with master scheduling, demand management or inventory management in a dynamic manufacturing environment.


·Working knowledge and experience with ERP and MRP systems (MS Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, etc).


·Capable of performing complex data analysis to improve supply chain performance and customer service.


·Proven track record in delivering change, process improvement, and root cause analytics.


·Experienced user of MS Office Applications, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.


·Ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, and presentation) with all levels of the organization.
