Title: Patient Account Representative-Collections

Join a thriving Medical center in this key Patient Account Representative position. Looking for a sharp candidate with prior experience handling medical collections, and delinquent accounts. The hired candidate will contact patients to resolve past due accounts. This is full-time, permanent position. This Role is remote but will require the candidate to travel to the Newburyport office a couple of times per month.

Attend inquiries by phone
Follow up on Medical collections on the phone and in-person
Collect balances on existing patient accounts
Identify and reconcile patients account for problems or missing account information
Prepare reports and payment plans
Manage and resolve delinquent accounts
Contact attorneys and other parties to obtain information for resolution of credit and collection matter

Required Qualifications :


2+ Years of Medical Collections experience
Ability to handle clerical duties as needed; fax machines and or copiers
Must have excellent computer skills
Knowledge and understanding of Fair debt Collection Practice Act (FDCPA)
Understanding or HIPAA regulations and policies
Knowledge of Medical terminology and insurance terms
Experience with ATHENA or EFFIX

Skills: Experience in Accounts Receivable – Patient Claim Dispute – Knowledge of Fair debt Collection Practice Act (FDCPA)- Medical Invoicing or Collections
