Ophthalmic Technician Summary:   Well established medical office seeks an experienced Ophthalmic technician to work with patient flow, testing and screening patients and providing office support.  

Ophthalmic Responsibilities:

·       Perform diagnostic test to patients

·       Maintain patient flow in the office

·       Perform preliminary testing prior to doctor exam

·       Take patient histories

·       Assist with patient scribing

·       Provide patient prescriptions

·       Hired candidate will work one weekend a month

·       Hours required, Mon, Tues, Thurs 8:15 – 5:30; Friday 8:15 – 2pm.

Ophthalmic Qualifications and Skills:

·       2+ years in Ophthalmic technician role

·       Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the eye

·       Ability to perform required testing including OCTs, visual field testing and slit lamp exams

·       Preference will be given to candidates who are Certified Ophthalmic Assistants or Technicians

Ophthalmic Benefits:  Salary range, up to $26/hr depending on experience.
