Job Description :

Our electro/mechanical device manufacturing client is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer. This position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.


This is a Direct Hire opportunity. Monday-Friday first shift. Annual salary $82,000-$85,000

 Responsibilities



  • Take full ‘cradle to grave’ ownership for tasks assigned, for defects (Non-Conformances) found in Mfg. and Test and for any projects assigned

  • Understand the requirements and process to effectively transition design changes, new designs, or deviations into production

  • Initiate ECRs (Engineering Change Requests), drive and review resulting ECO’s as required to ensure design changes are effectively identified, integrated, and properly documented

  • Represent Manufacturing on cross-functional project teams as needed

  • Assist in the manufacturing launch of new/revised products.

  • Create/Improve designs and supporting documentation for production in collaboration with Engineering

  • Improve MFG processes by identifying and initiating process improvements for quality and efficiency.

  • Manage MFG related projects and coordinate activities with various internal and external suppliers

  • Design, develop and test and/or source tools, machinery and equipment.

  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.



Required Qualifications :

Qualifications



  • BS in engineering discipline (Preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing) with 3+ years’ experience

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 2D and 3D solid modeling

  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing

  • Knowledge of MS office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio

  • Strong communication skills, including excellent writing and presentation skills

  • Familiar with machine shop and drafting practices
