High Voltage Engineer 


Our electrical device design build client is building a technology center in the Lowell area that will employ a dynamic team of engineers.   The hired candidate will work with an Integrated Product Team to develop design concepts, test development prototypes, create purchase specifications, support production acceptance and monitor field performance of all High-Voltage and X-ray components.


The role initially will be performed remotely from home half the week and on site in their upstate New York facility the other half of the week.  Our client will cover all expenses for travelling and staying in New York until the Lowell area office is open. 


Annual salary $125,000-$140,000


High Voltage Engineer Responsibilities


·Create performance and purchase specifications for High-Voltage and X-ray components


·Analyze performance of HV and X-ray equipment during development, production, and field use.


·Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and analysis to assist production level operations


·Create procedures and various documents to support assembly, test, servicing, and analysis


·Implement document and change control as it applies to HV and X-ray components


Required Qualifications :

Requirements


·Experience with complex electromechanical equipment used in control and automation applications


·Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and teamwork skills


·Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize activities with minimal direction


·Experience with Labview or similar for programming automated test procedures


·Effective use of Microsoft office applications including Word and Excel


·US citizen or permanent resident


·Experience with High-Voltage and X-ray generating equipment for security, medical or industrial applications preferred


·Experience applying Six-Sigma quality methodology


·Understanding of safety and regulatory requirements for High Voltage and X-ray equipment


·Working knowledge of multiple technology disciplines such as electronics, computers, and electromechanical sensors


·Strong computer skills for data analytics and quantitative analysis


  Education and Experience


  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience


  5 years of engineering experience in design and production support of electronic equipment
