CNC Sheet Metal Programmer

Job Description :

Our Southern NH high-precision manufacturing client is seeking to hire a CNC Sheet Metal Programmer. This role will involve reviewing customer needs and making prototype programs, purchasing/maintaining tooling, and developing production programs for custom and semi-custom products. This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire role.


 


Responsibilities:


·       Consult with engineers and other personnel regarding product design and capacity


·       Analyze written specifications, drawings, rough sketches and verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operations


·       Coordinate and program prototype parts through the Metal Fabrication and Proto departments in cooperation with the managers of each department


·       Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes or modification for efficiency and adaptability to production


·       Analyze and inspect to determine functionality and performance of design specifications


·       Program new designs from 3-dimensional computer models using computer assisted design, manufacturing software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks


·       Review and program all sheet metal requirements including Product Releases, ECO's and prototyping


Required Qualifications :

·       High School degree or GED 


·       5+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication


·       Basic Windows-based computing experience required


·       Experience in sheet metal programming preferred


·       Experience communicating with customers to assist in the design and production of surgical containers preferred


 


Other knowledge and abilities:


·       Ability to troubleshoot programming and production problems


·       Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and memos


·       Ability to apply concepts of algebra, geometry and trigonometry


·       Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume


·       Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in fluid situations
