CNC Mill Set Up Operator
Our seacoast contract manufacturing client is hiring a CNC Machinist – Mill Setup. The CNC Mill Setup role is responsible for setting up and editing programs on CNC Milling Machines in support of aerospace manufacturing. This is a first shift position. Our client has an environmentally controlled, state of the art facility committed to producing quality parts for aerospace, military and defense, satellite, and medical devices.
CNC Machinist Mill Setup Responsibilities:
Operate, set up, and edit programs on the machines within the department.
In addition to running machines, the Machinist will periodically inspect parts completed by operators during the production process to monitor for consistent dimensional and visual quality.
Responsible for continuously monitoring equipment and tooling. In the event of a breakdown or other event that would disrupt the process.
Follow the instructions on the Process sheet, Drawings, and or Programs.
Teach team members all aspects of machining.
Helps others identify issues and troubleshoot their work
Interface/communicate with Quality, Engineering, and other team members.
5+ years of experience with Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Center, live tooling lathe, experience with Fanuc, Yasnac or Mazatrol
Ability to read Blueprints and have a good understanding of GD&T
Heidenhain Control experience, CNC programming and knowledge of 5S/6S preferred
Skills: CNC Swiss machine, Screw machine,
