Our Lawrence commercial building client is hiring a building cleaner to work full time day shift hours on a temp to hire basis. The hired candidate will be responsible for the overall cleanliness inside and outside of the buildings. Cleaning duties will include all facility space, common areas, restrooms, and stairwells. This Lead position will be a hands-on working position and will be expected to be able to lead a staff member through the daily, weekly, monthly and all project related cleaning.

Duties

• Lead all efforts with hands on participation in large cleaning projects and activity daily.

• Establish/maintain high cleaning performance standards.

• Work with the Manager to develop a good, solid cleaning plan for larger areas.

• Manage inventory of cleaning products.

• Formulate a list of cleaning equipment that will need to be ordered.

• Make sure any areas that are damaged or in need of repair are promptly reported.

• Ensures that common areas of the property are clean, orderly, safe and in good repair.

• Clean up trash in common areas.

• Vacuum carpets, clean glass, doors, and furnishings.

• Supervise one cleaning staff member

• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large buildings

• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products.

• While this is typically a day shift position, person must be flexible and be able to come in on some evenings and weekends when needed

• Good language skills in Spanish and English

Salary Range:  21-25 per hour, commensurate with experience
